Top Boy 2

There’s a huge buzz around Top Boy 2, as the Netflix series returns, with large parts being filmed in FilmFixer boroughs around London.

Peckham-born Hollywood actor Ashley Walters is back in the ‘endz’ of his fictional Summerhouse Estate to star alongside the likes of Kano, Little Simz and Vogue model Adwoa Aboah.

A number of London estates in Filmfixer boroughs were used in the production, and in particular Romford’s Waterloo Estate (in the borough of Havering). This derelict estate was empty and the ideal setting for three weeks of filming in multiple locations, just before it was demolished to make way for new building projects.

Across in the London borough of Southwark several housing estate locations were used for filming, with Silverlock Estate, Lindley Estate and Rockingham Estate all featuring.

Also look out for filming at Surrey Quays Road, Lower Road, Redriff Road and Warndon Street.

Pocock Street was the base for filming inside Blackfriars crown court, with lighting stands being set up on Sawyer Street pavement.

Tanner Street also featured with filming inside the Ugly Duck Warehouse in Bermondsey (London borough of Southwark), an industrial brick-built location which will be familiar to any fans of the Dragon’s Den.

Walters said: “The scripts are really good, really tight. We’re coming at it from a new perspective this time, because I’m executive producing on this one, so creatively and script-wise I’m much more involved. We’ve got another banger for ya.”
