Ezra Collective is a British, Mercury-Award winning jazz quintet that fuses elements of afrobeat, calypso, reggae, hip-hop, soul and jazz. They recently released the video to their single God Gave Me Feet For Dancing, which was shot entirely in Romford and which we’re playing on loop in the office for its smooth, summery, life-affirming vibes.
They filmed mainly along the High Street, making the most of Romford’s urban backdrops and pedestrianised shopping streets that have a proper, London feel. Locals might recognise the much loved greasy spoon ‘Cafe Chateau’ on North Street as the camera pans past.
The shoot took place overnight and was a pleasure to facilitate with Havering Council. Night shoots in densely populated areas can be challenging but when a crew plans their setups well and makes effort to mitigate any noise disturbance – like this crew did – it’s a breeze. Congrats to the Location Manager Jamie Jamison and his whole team. We think the results speak for themselves!
